Francis Bacon on the South Bank Show
Here are six videos comprising an excellent documentary of the artist Francis Bacon. It is an episode of the South Bank show and a work of art in itself with particular visual and audio techniques used splendidly to bring out the nature of Bacon’s work. It’s as fascinating for its depiction of the life of the artist, London and the nature of art as it is a moving portrayal of one of the twentieth century’s greatest artists:
